Gathering the Mistletoe Greeting Card
- The Holly King uses a golden sickle to cut mistletoe from the gnarled branches of an oak tree, Holly and mistletoe are both traditionally hung at this time of year to represent the transition of power from the Holly King (who rules the waning year) to the Oak King (who reigns over the waxing year). Large card (measuring 8" by 5 1/2")
If you have never seen the artwork of Briar, you are in for a real treat. Briar is one of England's leading mythological artists. Her subjects evoke a time of ancient magic and mystery. Cards are individually wrapped with cellophane. Inside message reads "Yuletide Greetings".
