Her cross was originally woven of rushes. It can be seen as a symbol of Christian faith, or in its earlier association, as a sort of solar cross, similar to the early Celtic crosses, symbolizing the four quarters of the earth and the path of the sun through the sky. Bridget is a goddess with many attributes. She is associated with fire, poetry, and smithcraft, as well as medicine and healing. The cross is made of sterling silver, and measures just over an inch tall.
