About the Artist: Vicki Visconti
Art of Enchantment, Faery & Myth

Vicki Visconti has won numerous awards throughout her career. In 2005, Vicki was the first recipient in drawing at the premier Academy Awards for visual artist, The ARTV Fine Arts Awards. The prestigious online Duirwaigh Gallery also named Vicki one of the Top Ten Romantic Fantasy Artists in their Arthur Rackham competition.

Influences of Mr. Rackham as well as contemporary fantasy artists such as Brian Froud, along with the works of Pre-Raphaelites and a love of Celtic knotwork are seen in her work. Her art work can be found in books, magazines, giglees, limited and open edition prints, stationary and giftware.

Vicki began her art career at the age of three in the "Land of Enchantment," New Mexico, but now resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. She credits much of her success to her parents, her husband and daughter. "My mom taught me to color outside the lines and dad was the one who hauled me to every art show I could enter." But the type of art she creates was destiny, the Art of Enchantment, Faery & Myth. Her subjects were born within her and carried forward in her soul for centuries. Simply signing her artwork, "Visconti", she is one of a few artists skilled in many different mediums including pen & ink, colored pencil, watercolor and oils.

Vicki dreams of castles filled with chivalrous knights, dragons of old, strong heroic women fighting for their place in the world, goddesses and moonlit marshes glittering with luminous faerie wings. These romantic images are her inspiration. Her art leads us to a place hidden deep within all of us, where magic is real and faeries do fly and where myth and legend are truths.
