Natural Himalayan Salt Chunks

In magic, salt is undoubtedly best known as an agent of protection. The image of a circle of salt being used as a barrier to dark forces is familiar to many thanks to pop culture. And while I can't recommend learning about magical workings by watching movies and tv, it's fair to say there's at least a kernel of truth in this case.

Salt can also be used to cleanse and renew tools that you use in your rituals. Like selenite, salt absorbs negative energies and re-establishes balance.

Salt is often found as an ingredient in money spells. That's no surprise, considering that salt has not always been so easily available. In fact, in some cultures, salt has literally been worth its weight in gold because it was so valuable and so scarce. Little wonder, then, that it is associated with abundance and prosperity.

Salt is often used on wiccan altars to represent the element of Earth.
