You'll love the vibrant colors and beautiful details in this chart based on artwork by Leia Frazier. In the language of animals, a dragonfly totem is a symbol of transformation. These wondrous creatures are born in water, and live there for several years before they undergo a tremendous metamorphosis, and take to the sky. Darting through the air on gossamer wings, dragonflies teach us to look at all things with different perspectives.
The Dragonfly Cross Stitch Pattern measures 224 stitches square. The cross stitch pattern spans 15 pages, and is printed in booklet form. There is a color picture of the completed chart on the front page. The pattern itself is graphed in black and white symbols, and a table showing the DMC colors you'll need is included.

How much fabric do I need?
To calculate the amount of fabric you will need for your project, divide the number of stitches by the stitch count of the fabric you wish to use. The higher the count of your fabric, the smaller your piece will be. Some examples appear below. Remember to leave several additional inches as a border on each side, to facilitate framing your project when it is finished.
| Fabric count | Approximate size of stitched area |
|---|---|
| 14-count | 16" × 16" |
| 18-count | 12 ½" × 12 ½" |
| 25-count | 8" × 8" |
