Silver Celtic Triskele Ring

The triskele has been turning up in human artwork for thousands of years.

Three spiraling arms sweep out from a single center, creating a design that feels almost alive with movement.

Versions of the symbol appear on ancient monuments, including the stonework at Newgrange in Ireland. Over time, the triskele became closely associated with Celtic art and symbolism.

Like so many three-part symbols, the triskele has gathered a variety of meanings. For Pagans, it can symbolize the three aspects of the Goddess — the Maiden, Mother, and Crone. It has also been used to represent such concepts as the past, present, and future, or the mind, body, and spirit.
