This pattern is a lighthearted cautionary message to all who dare to stir the cauldron of mischief. "Don't make me flip my witch switch", the text reads, and that's a warning that should be taken to heart. There's no telling what might happen when a good witch is pushed too far! This pattern was designed by Marcia Manning, based on artwork by Sanquentti Design.
With its compact size of 99 by 87 stitches, it's an ideal project for those cozy, spellbinding evenings. The design is all full cross stitches with no backstitching, making it a breeze for stitchers of any level.
The single-page leaflet includes a large, easy-to-read color chart, printed in color. There is a list of suggested DMC floss colors, but with only 3 colors used in this project, it's super simple to adapt it to your personal color preferences if you wish to customize the pattern.
How much fabric do I need?
To calculate the amount of fabric you will need for your project, divide the number of stitches by the stitch count of the fabric you wish to use. The higher the count of your fabric, the smaller your piece will be. Some examples appear below. Remember to leave several additional inches as a border on each side, to facilitate framing your project when it is finished.
Fabric count | Approximate size of stitched area |
---|---|
14-count | 7" × 6 ¼" |
18-count | 5 ½" × 4 ¾" |
25-count | 3" × 3 ½" |
